Photographs of Mormon Church historic sites, Biblical sites, and proposed Book of Mormon sites, 1960-197-?

Contains views of archaeological sites and artifacts in Central and South America and Palestine. The views taken in the Americas are offered as Book of Mormon sites; the views taken in Palestine as Biblical sites. The collection also includes views of Mormon Church historic sites in the United States and Israel. These photographic prints were formerly displayed in the old Joseph Smith Memorial Building (1941-1995), from the 1960s to the mid-1990s when the building was raised. Many of these photographs appear to be the work of Paul Cheesman, a former Religion Studies faculty member interested in Book of Mormon archaeology.
